The process

What makes Hafidh App different?

Hafidh App is the only Quran memorization app that creates a complete guided program for the memorization, short term revision and long term retention of the Quran.

1

Memorization

Ayah by ayah, guided from the first listen to the moment it holds on its own — and joins the ayahs around it.

1

Listen and recite

Hear the ayah from a qari and recite along, until the sound of it is familiar.

2

Recite on your own

Say it back with the text in front of you, until it runs without stumbling.

3

Recall from memory

Hide the text and test yourself. The session moves on when it holds, not before.

4

Connect the ayahs

Join the new ayah to the ones before it, so the passage reads as one — not as separate lines.

2

Short term revision

The half that decides whether the new ayahs stay.

Revise before you add

Every session opens with what you memorized in the sessions before it. Nothing new is added on top of something that has not settled yet.

3

Long term retention

What you have finished keeps coming back, for as long as you want to hold it.

A schedule that widens with you

Completed pages return at growing intervals, page by page and juz' by juz', long after the session that taught them.

“I used to memorize new pages and lose the old ones within weeks. Now revision opens before anything new does, and what I learned in January is still there in September.”
Amina R. Istanbul · memorizing Juz' Amma
“I'd started memorizing three times before and stopped every time. This is the first plan that told me exactly what to do today, so I never had to decide it myself.”
Bilal K. Birmingham · memorizing Surah Al-Baqarah
“I recommend it to students who memorized years ago and feel it slipping. The long-term schedule brings pages back in an order that actually makes sense.”

FAQ

Common questions

Is Hafidh App free?

Setting your goal, the full memorization program and short-term revision are free. Hafidh Plus is $6.99/month and adds unlimited long-term retention scheduling, offline downloads for every reciter, and progress reports.

Who checks the memorization method?

Shaykh Abdullah Nasser, ijazah-holder in Hafs 'an 'Asim, reviews the program, the revision intervals and every line of religious content in the app.

Which recitations can I listen to?

Mishary Alafasy, Abdul Basit and Yasser Al-Dosari, in Hafs 'an 'Asim. More reciters and riwayat are added as they are licensed and verified.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once a surah is downloaded, listening, reciting and revision all work without a connection. Only the first download needs the internet.

I already memorized part of the Quran. Can I start from there?

Yes. Mark what you already hold when you set up, and Hafidh App puts those pages straight into revision instead of asking you to memorize them again.
